Recycling efficiency and investment varies significantly by state, and the reality is that if recycling is not easy, people will not do it. The aim of this campaign is to increase public demand for recycling to then encourage local leaders and their local government to prioritize these initiatives. A particular problem area in South Carolina is in regard to their glass recycling; it is non-existent. Glass, when recycled and properly treated, can be turned into sand and utilized to combat the shoreline erosion happening along South Carolina’s coasts. That empty should be reincarnated at the beach, not at the dump.
